He has authored or co-authored more 290 journal articles and book chapters, and edited or co-edited 21 books. He is editor-in-chief of the “APA Handbook of Multicultural Psychology” (2014) and founding editor of the Asian American Journal of Psychology. He is currently associate editor of Archives for Scientific Psychology®. He has served as the director of the APA Advanced Training Institute on Research Methods with Diverse Racial and Ethnic Groups since 2008.

Alfabetizzazione filmica: sviluppare le identità e la comprensione culturale dei giovani.
Riportiamo ciò che la Commissione europea sta facendo a supporto dello sviluppo dell’“alfabetizzazione filmica” ed elenchiamo i nuovi fondi per l’istruzione in questo ambito.Per alfabetizzazione filmica si intende: il livello di comprensione di un film; la capacità di essere consapevoli e curiosi nella scelta dei film; la competenza di guardare criticamente un film e analizzarne il contenuto, la cinematografia e gli aspetti tecnici; e la capacità di manipolarne il linguaggio e le risorse tecniche nella produzione creativa delle immagini in movimento. Il cinema ha un ruolo fondamentale nella costruzione delle nostre identità europee. Il pubblico deve essere in grado di fare scelte libere e informate, in un contesto di trasformazione dell’intera catena di valore dell’industria audio-visiva. L’alfabetizzazione filmica è lo strumento migliore per sviluppare un pubblico adatto per i film europei sul breve, medio e lungo termine.

JEC – Jeunesse Étudiante Chrétienne

NOTRE APPROCHE PÉDAGOGIQUEVOIR-JUGER-AGIR ET RÉVISION DE VIELa JEC œuvre comme tous mouvements d’Action catholique avec la pédagogie du Voir-Juger-Agir. Il s’agit d’une méthode simple, mais non simpliste qui invite les étudiants comme les accompagnateurs à réfléchir sur une situation, un fait donné. Dans le respect de leur cheminement, les jeunes sont invités à former des équipes pour faire révision de vie dans leur milieu. La révision de vie est le Voir-Juger-Agir qui amène à réfléchir sur soi ou sur une situation commune. Elle peut donc se traduire en cheminement spirituel de la personne ou en cheminement de groupe pour l’avancement d’une idée ou d’une injustice à corriger.À travers différents projets initiés par l’équipe ou proposés par le mouvement, les jeunes sont invités à poser une action qui transforme le milieu étudiant.
